Superfood for Superheroes hits the road to feed aged-care workers in Toowoomba

Thanks to the generosity of MOA Benchmarking (and a little help from the managing director’s daughters), our Superfood for Superheroes initiative was able to provide 100 gourmet meals to the deserving workers at The Brodribb Home in Toowoomba.

The lunch packages were the community’s way of saying a sincere thank you for their continued perseverance in the face of a deadly disease, making more challenging even the most basic of daily activities.

On their first run, the Superfood for Superheroes team delivered 645 ‘Thank You’ meals to ‘Gold Coast Health’ workers. Our next step is to continue to support the workers across a range of industries who are working tirelessly to keep the world spinning amidst COVID-19. On their first run, the Superfood for Superheroes team delivered 645 ‘Thank You’ meals to ‘Gold Coast Health’ workers. Superannuation Advice Australia, Noel Shephard, took a trip to be a part of the day.

“The idea was to show some support for the frontline workers, facing challenges on a day-to-day basis that a lot of people don’t care to understand.”

Brodribb Home’s CEO, Pam Chipperfield, spoke of how touched her staff were by the gesture.

“To have people come along that would do this for the staff, was really uplifting. They are all working so hard and so well, they’ve stepped up and to have something like this happen where it shows people do appreciate them and the work they do.”
